Description
Found metal embedded in wax emits waves of colour, layer upon layer, flowing from within as a spirit seeking peace.
Encaustic with mixed media on wood. Encaustic painting is the process of painting with a molten encaustic medium mixed with pigments. Each of the many multiple layers are fused to the previous with heat, my preference being a blow torch. Encaustic medium is made pure beeswax mixed with Damar resin, a sap from trees in Indonesia and Malaysia.
