Description
Peaceful are the clean refreshing swells of waves in the vast openness of the sea, far from anywhere, far from here.
Encaustic with mixed media on wood. Encaustic painting is the process of painting with a molten encaustic medium mixed with pigments. Each of the many multiple layers are fused to the previous with heat, my preference being a blow torch. Encaustic medium is made pure beeswax mixed with Damar resin, a sap from trees in Indonesia and Malaysia.
